Saving our customers time and cutting costs with BIM
First developed in 2002 as a tool to bridge communication between architecture, engineering, and construction, Building Information Modeling (BIM) is very similar to what Hess Mechanical has been doing for years.
Since its development, we have used BIM heavily as a tool to detect clashes and improve coordination among the trades. By sharing 3-D models with all stakeholders, we are able to take you on a virtual walk-through of the project and detect coordination conflicts before the construction process begins.
The benefits on your project are significant
As construction projects get more and more complex, it’s essential to limit risks and eliminate mistakes before work begins. Our in-house BIM department and National BIM Alliance gives you the full benefit of experienced specialists equipped with the latest in technology.
You can count on …
- Streamlined installation, as all major issues are resolved in trade coordination – and that gives you better quality construction
- Accurate construction schedule and materials request from contractors
- Higher quality and lower cost, because prefabrication can take place in a controlled factory environment
- “What if” scenarios, which make it possible to change construction sequencing options, shuffle human resources and fine-tune costs
And even though your project may not be labeled a “BIM job,” we can still use part of the process to make what we do even better.
